Car in the Box Puzzle

BP put this puzzle out in LinkedIn. I am not sure why and quite a few people did not give the same answer as in the Answer tab. Hmmm, either I'm wrong and I don't think so or that 36% percent figure is about right.

Click on the tabs to get at the puzzle and then the answer.

The Puzzle

Can you solve?

The Answer

If box 1 is true, then box 2 and 3 have to be false but then box 2 has to say "the car is in this box". Box 1 and 2 can't both have cars. If box 2 is true, then boxes 1 and 3 have to be false, but their statements contradict each other. Box 3 is the only one that can be true and boxes 1 and 2 have to be false. If box 2 is false, then the car is in box 2.
