Avant-Garde Excel Designs
Being Experimental
Wouldn’t it be neat if we could do something different with Excel? Make it more visually interesting? I’m attaching a copy of an Excel file with some way out experiments with pictures, colors, graphs, data, etc. to see what I can push. The examples are nonsense and meaningless because I am not intending the materials to be real. Of course, the designs are a little too far out for the corporate world because they are way too different from what most Excel files are like – almost avant-garde. Most excel spreadsheets are really just lots and lots and lots of numbers in tables and maybe some standard graphs.
And the application of these designs would be difficult; they would take a lot of time to create.
But I’m still working on it. Surely, we can make something visually striking and yet workable as a methodology of presenting information.
