Fly on the Wall
Well, well, well, it would be interesting to be a fly on the wall of the Conway’s house. If the differences in opinion are real, there must be some serious tensions in the household. How do they handle such a contentious topic as Trump? Or do they agree that this is one area of their life that is off the table for discussion? If the differences in opinions are real, then one should look toward them for guidance in how to continue to interact with another with a vastly different opinion.
So I have three possible scenarios that may be going on in that household, two of which stems from similar strategies on living in this era:
- They genuinely have difference in opinions and have learned to ignore this very contentious issue in order to continue to love each other, because in all other areas, they genuinely are in sync.
- They both are really hard core Trump fans, but as a strategy of safety, the Conway team has one foot in team Trump and the other foot in team Trump Resisters. So if the Trump era failed, the husband could save his wife by saying, “Well, she really was anti-Trump, but she had to work for him because she was hired to do so. But note, she did not place herself in the center of things; she only worked in the peripheral edges.”
- Or, they both are really anti-Trump, but again, the strategy of safety comes into play, but with the idea that if the Trump era takes hold for quite a while, it may be safer to be on the inside because he could turn out to be really cruel to those on the outside. So while the husband is ranting against the President, his wife is on the inside so why harm the husband.
So yeah, it would be really interesting to be a fly on the wall.
ADDENDUM
Well, this story is still going on. Here’s a link to the latest article on the Conways:
“We’re All Stuck Inside George and Kellyanne’s Marriage”
It looks like maybe he really does not like the situation he’s in. Or is he still just
pretending? I don’t know but this sure has everyone interested.
