Pivot Magic
This is a very short post but I did learn something new about pivot tables. I don’t know if this feature has always been present or just got implemented in Excel 2013, but it is a very, very nifty feature. And in the words of my boss, “It is big.”
I learned that you can send someone just the pivot table without all of the data details that formed the pivot. I believe that as long as you set up the criteria to show everything, the person who receives the table can pretty much arrange the pivot however he likes without the underlying original data. This feature shrinks down the size of the table and enables you to send the file.
That is amazing.
Has this always been available?
