America, we got a problem

So, there are some stuff that concerns me about last week’s insurrection.

First, the riot was apparently worse than initially thought or reported. In the last few days I’ve seen reports that said that Mike Pence’s and Nancy Pelosi’s lives may have been in danger. Mike Pence is a Trumplican! and have served the president very faithfully over the last four years! He consulted the law, and being the law and order type, he found that his powers during the Congress certification was just ceremonial: he was to just read off the results sent in by the states. That’s it. Just read them off, count the end results and announce the newly elected President.

The videos of the noose or gallows, the zip ties and the hashtags referencing Mike Pence suggested something darker was in store. Thankfully, the security was able to whish away the vice president and the Speaker of the House.

But that’s concerning.

I think here’s one of the videos that talks about how serious the attack on the Capitol was.

Second, there is a poll out that says 45% of the Trumplican voters support the riot. And some blame Biden for the attack on democracy. What the h***? What are they thinking? Almost one quarter of the American citizens have gone into full blown psychoses or lunacy. How do they arrive at supporting this attack?

And lastly, the stuff coming out about the cops are really disturbing.

When I first heard the news about this insurrection, I watched various news sources and there is one particular news source that tend to get emotional, so I always give it a grain of salt, even though the guy giving the news tend to be on target. Surprisingly because he says stuff that I find off the wall. But then later his take on the news gets backed up by other news sources. So, this guy was going on a rant about cops letting in the rioters and that the cops might be in on the insurrection because there seemed to be very little security.

The story was plausible but I needed to see other news or other verification because the way he described the rioters just waltzing in without a fight did sound a little bit far-fetched. I expected some fight.

Then I saw a video where the rioters walked into this huge room, staying within the boundaries of the velvet ropes. They were just calmly walking in, with no care in the world, and obeying the dictates of the ropes. I was like “What? What the heck?” I needed more data than that because it was a video of one room only, but it sure looked suspicious.

Then, later on, I read an article that spelled out the viewpoint of international security/law enforcement types about how to handle insurgency, and they pretty much said that they suspected that some law enforcement were in on this coup because normal security protocols had not been put in place despite knowing beforehand that there could be trouble. They think someone somehow interfered with the deployment of security forces.

Oh boy, this is really serious.
