Desperately Seeking Time
I’m struggling to find time to do all of the stuff that I want to do. Because of the coming AI invasion taking over at least 50% of the thinking/analytical/math/ computing skills, I’m trying to develop another skill. I am finding that I have now reached a point where I am getting pretty good but my style, which is realistic, takes time to develop. I started out trying to draw things within the hour with markers and now I have become familiar enough with markers and developed some techniques that now, to do a really good drawing, it is taking me upwards to 3 hours. My pencil drawings – kinds that I do – take me about 12 to 15 hours, if I want to do a really good job (and I almost never want to do a hatchet job).
But at the same time, I still want to continue with the math and computer, even though that is going to go away in some near future. Most of this kind of work is done during work hours, so there is time devoted to math and computing. But lately I have a new and really interesting project which is essentially some form of dashboard reporting. This is an opportunity to seek out something new so I have been doing some research and thinking. But I think I’m going to have to carve out some additional time at home to delve into these creative ideas, which means less time for the visual works and for this website.
There is so much I want to do and learn that I’m struggling with it. Nothing is really getting done.
Tonight I’m going to try to finish the pencil drawing. Tomorrow, I will spend some time working on the new project and try to squeeze in a post here. But first, I have to do another picture for the post that I’m planning.

I wish I could work faster.
