He has said it aloud

“Can you imagine if I lose? My whole life, what am I going to do? I’m going to say, ‘I lost to the worst candidate in the history of politics.’ I’m not going to feel so good. Maybe I’ll have to leave the country. I don’t know.”

Trump at campaign rally in Macon, Georgia on Friday, October 16, 2020.

He said what I thought he was going to have to do if he loses this election, especially by a large margin. I always thought that if he lost and that loss sticks (the military, the legal system, the court system all back the norm of accepting the results because the voters said loud and clear that a new administration was needed), he would have to leave the country due to his legal and financial problems. There is a very strong chance that the legal system will start up in earnest once a new administration moves in.

He has so many legal suits against him and probably more waiting in the wings. Those legal cases alone will eat up his finances, further stressing his revenue stream. He is just not the businessman that he has made himself out to be with all of those losing businesses. Furthermore, the lone rather lucrative revenue stream that he was getting from his “Apprentice” years seem to be drying up, according to the New York Times. All of these pressures make for an untenable position for him.

Now wonder he has been acting “crazy”. He is like a cornered animal.

But it’s not entirely certain that he will lose. There has been a couple of articles that says the data suggests Biden is not really winning by a larger margin than Clinton. And of course, there are others that are giddily (?) declaring Biden is winning by a large margin. But we’ve been here before, back in 2016, where so many thought Clinton would win.

But he has said aloud what he might have to do.

I haven’t wanted to say it aloud, although if I’m thinking of it, then others are, but still…I didn’t want to put the idea out there. However, he has now said it.

Of course, I would not be surprised that there are some people out there making plans to make sure he doesn’t leave the country.

But I’m not ready to say he will win, not by a long shot. There are too many variables still at play.
