I can’t hear you

The topic is not dying down, although if I think about it, it appears to be coming from mostly on the Democrat side rather than the Republicans. It’s a rather sordid topic.

I’m surprised at how long this topic has been going but I guess this is the one that the right, the conservatives, the religious have been calling for: the release of the Epstein files.

I’m watching, amazed at how this topic is the singular topic that gets them going, even to the point of opposing the president. But again, this go round…I’m not much hearing from the Ms.

Here’s the thing about those emails… (“but the emails…”), they hint at bad doings but don’t really implicate the president. A single email one can shrug away. A mountain of them suggests unsavory … what? Behavior? Leanings? We can’t ignore them, but we can only allege possible bad doings. But what? Spending hours with a victim? That’s probably not a crime. And it doesn’t indicate that the prez knew of the sex ring. Just that he spent a long time with a single victim.

I would imagine in the court of law, those 3 emails that were initially released would not be enough to declare someone guilty of pedophile behavior. Even the large stash the Republicans released may not be enough. I think there has been a dribbling of that larger stash, but I don’t know the details.

Which is why everyone is hectoring for the files that the FBI and DOJ probably have.

But are the Ms calling out for those files to be released or is it now mainly the Democrats?

Here’s one thing though, Megyn Kelly is trying to scrub away the prez association with Epstein by saying those 15 year old girls “were barely legal”, they are not like the “8 year old girls” who are definitely “illegal”, and that a person who knows virtually everything (virtually only) does not believe Epstein is a pedophile because he was interested in the “barely legal” 15 year olds rather than 8 year olds.

This coming from a lady who in her 30s or 40s launched a sexual harassment suit against Bill O’Reilly and possible Fox.

Wow. She’s really stretching it trying to justify Epstein’s behavior.

And you know who else are not making much noise about the prez association with a known pedophile? The evangelicals. They should be shouting from the roof that the files need to be released to get at the bottom and to find the other men involved in this sordid saga. Because there apparently other men involved in this saga.

So, the evangelicals should be calling out for transparency.

Except they appear silent.

Not a good look for the pious.

It’s a bad look.

They need to start making noise; right now, they look depraved with their acceptance of all of his bad behavior. Very unchristian.

I previously thought it was likely the prez was not involved because his schtick is to harass adult women, not girls. He has been adjudicated as a sexual harasser in the E Jean case. He has had multiple suits against him for sexual harassment (maybe rape – I don’t know). And he is known for saying “I grab ’em by the p—y because I’m a star” in the Access Hollywood tape.

But in all cases, the victims were adult women, not girls.

However, the way he is insistent on not releasing the files makes him look guilty. I still don’t think he did the girls, but I’m not 100% certain. He is looking guiltier and guiltier.

And the evangelicals need to call out for the release of the files if they want to maintain the pious reputation.
