Kirk did not deserve to be killed.

Where do I begin?

Wednesday was shocking.

Shocking killing

There were 2 shooting events, one of which were a school shooting. Sadly, that is not the shocking part. It’s tragic but not shocking.

The other was the murder of Charlie Kirk, a far-right Republican influencer.

I really haven’t heard him much but I know I don’t like his views based upon the few things I have heard. As an example, I don’t like his idea of women submitting to their husbands like the way he advised Taylor Swift to do.

Another example: A 10 year old girl should have to carry a child from a rapist to full term. I think that could be one of the few instances where we can decide otherwise.

Or this: Blacks aren’t smart enough to fly planes? Please.

Those are the types of views I can readily recall and I just don’t agree.

But does that mean he should be killed for them? NO! He has abhorrent views but we don’t kill people for holding those types of views

What is wrong with young white males (majority of these violent shootings appear to be driven by young white males)? A lot of them talk about being disenfranchised or depressed. Some veer toward following Andrew Tate, the abominable alleged sex offender. Cruelty seems to run rampant with them.

Lefties are behind this!

When I first learned about the death of Charlie Kirk, I thought it was likely a leftie or Democrat that did the horrible deed and thought that was a stupid move. When one of Elon Musk’s DOGE kids (“Big Balls”) was attacked by some teenagers (I think), he-who-must-not-be-named got angry and brought in the military or National Guards to “combat crime” in Washington D.C., never mind that statistics indicate that crime has declined.

Why would you attack someone with some kind of ties with the Prez?

As a matter of fact, some personalities on the right started to declare this a war even though we had no evidence of motive or ideology. Instead of bringing down the temperature, they were getting people riled up.

I was afraid that this would be the start of attacks (or killings) of anyone who appears to be a progressive, Democrat or the left as revenge for Kirk’s killing.

It was scary.

I have to say, the leaders of the Democrats/left acted like leaders in denouncing the violence and said it had no place in our society. I can’t say I saw the same from the right. It was almost like they were getting themselves riled up to start a bigger violence.

The suspect

And now law enforcement has the killer who confessed: a young white, Christian male whose family is a registered Republican and Trump supporter. And they are strong supporters of the 2nd Amendment (they play with their guns).

That sounds like MAGA.

There’s a strong possibility that this is a MAGA on MAGA killing.

Which doesn’t make sense to me, unless…

…the young suspect was part of the Groyper group within the Republican party. Supposedly the Groyper group do not like Charlie Kirk for some reason. And Laura Loomer called out Charlie Kirk for turning out to be a two-faced traitor in one of her tweets…which was later deleted.

Conspiracy theories, conspiracy theories.

Law enforcement is still investigating.

I do want to point out that the family member – his dad – did the right thing and turned him in to the police. I imagine that is a hard thing to do. So, they do know the right thing to do.

Update

More information has come out that suggests he might not be a MAGA, maybe is a leftie, but very weakly. Right now, he is kind of indeterminate.

People want to say that since he has a gay relationship with his roommate who is also transitioning, he has to be a liberal.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of gays in the Republican which kind of confuses me. Think of the Log Cabin Republicans or think Peter Thiel. Being gay is not an automatic categorization as liberal although highly suggestive.

Right now, we can categorize the suspect, no matter how much we want to. We’ll have to wait for the trial.

Shocking deterioration

Okay, our Prez isn’t well.

He’s got kankles – swelling of the ankles.

He’s got dead hands – bad makeup covering bruises.

He’s doing the galumph – in front of triumphant Putin.

He’s doing the weave – as he’s dementing.

He doesn’t look happy; he doesn’t look well; he doesn’t play golf.

It’s kind of scary to watch someone deteriorate.

And then 9/11…

His face starts to droop, specifically his eye and lips on the right side.

According to those with some medical background, it is possible that he was having a mini-stroke at that time.

That guy could croak at any time! Although, he’s luckier than most and might actually live beyond the 3.5 years left of his administration. But that is a miserable existence.

Shocking quiet in the Atlantic

The Atlantic/Caribbean/Gulf has been quiet so far this summer but that might change in the next week or two. I’m hoping that the dry air that has been killing the storms will stick around a lot longer.

I have to make it through the rest of September and October before I could relax, theoretically.

The weather people projected an above average season but so far, it has been below average in the number of tropical storms. I hope it stays that way.
