Reading: Would Like to Read as Much as Warren Buffett
I read something rather astonishing a couple of weeks ago: Warren Buffett spends at roughly 80% of his day reading. Wow! … Wow, wow, wow! I wish I had a job that allowed me to do that much reading. Although I think most of his reading is newspapers and he’s probably searching for news about the world, about general business activity, economics, science, anything useful. He’s not reading comics. But still, I would love to have time to read all the books I want to read.
Speaking of reading, I haven’t posted any blogs about any books lately, although I have been reading. It’s just that the books don’t pertain to the general topics here. They are mostly about design or not enough truly good materials to post. But just recently, I started a book on algorithms that might generate enough interesting materials to create a couple of posts. It’s either the algorithms or the simulations – I can’t decide which one to read/do first. The algorithm book will require downloading and learning Python, which I am eager to start. I’m hoping the algorithm book will involve some examples for me to play with as I learn best by doing.
So, I am reading some books. That hasn’t stopped.
