Text: interviewing doctors. The necessity of critical thinking when interviewing doctors.

Shouldn’t we have critical thinking when interviewing doctors?

How are these for displaying critical thinking when interviewing doctors?

“I don’t have much interest in having sexual experiences with another person”

“I believe in things that many others don’t – like ‘having a sixth sense’, clairvoyance, and telepathy – and as an adolescent, I had bizarre fantasies or preoccupations.”

“I consistently use my physical appearance to draw attention to myself.”

WTH! These were part of the “interview” questions for a position in HHS?!?

What do these have to do with being a doctor or having medical management of organizations?

If you were interviewing doctors for a sports team, would you ask these questions?

Some of it sounds kinky.

Here’s some articles to read for further bizarro details:

I know in the business world we try, or some of us try, to do out of the box thinking to come up with new innovations. But… there are out of the box thinking and then … out of this world coo-coo thinking. Those questions seem to fit the latter. There’s a time and place for pushing the envelope, a medical job interview ain’t it.

The questions have to elicit the traits, capabilities and experience in doing the job. The questions reek of kinkiness and salacious curiosity of stuff that has no place in managing a medical organization. I realize that there are personality questions but these seem out of place.

Critical thinking is sorely needed in this country. This is just insane.
