Surprising Profile in Courage

I’ll have to change my assessment of Mitt Romney: back in 2012, when he was running against Barack Obama, I distrusted Romney because he was a former hedge fund manager so in my mind, he carries the capitalistic philosophy which is business exists for shareholders only. He probably still does but he has shown a lot of courage in this era. First, he voted to convict Trump on abuse of power, then he spoke out against a few atrocious things the president said, and then this week, he was out with the protesters in Washington, D.C, promoting “Black Lives Matter”.

I have to respect him: he’s showing immense courage and heart.

Mitt Romney and Lisa Murkowski are probably the only two Republicans that I would be okay being voted back in as Senators again. The rest…they can go.
