3rd No King Protest Peaceful

Third No Kings Protest was Peaceful

I wanted to note this earlier, but I also wanted to wait a while to make sure no new insights come out. Last Saturday was the 3rd No Kings Protest and it was still a very peaceful protest. Apparently 8 million showed up and still, no violence broke out.

That’s a relief.

Especially since we are heading into a voting cycle that has all of the indications of turning into a high tension one. The potential for violence seems to be high.

I’m happy to learn that this 3rd one was a happy, joy filled event, for the most part. I did see some stories about the evening riots in LA and the protestors and counterprotesters outbreak in Austin or Dallas. But with 8 million attendees I am surprised that the organizers managed to keep the event on the level.

But I do worry as we head into the summer. Will the tension ratchet up by June? I’m guessing the next protest will be in June and the last one before the election voting be in October.

The closer we get to the election voting period, the greater the chance for outbreaks because everyone will be jockeying for their positions.

We never had to worry about this, but this is unfortunately the sign of the times. This timeline is a very scary timeline with people around the world going crazy.
